Led machine learning development and helped build the system from scratch. The project reduced pressure injuries significantly and won a national award.

Key takeaway: building impactful technology is not enough — distribution and sales determine whether it survives.

Moved into software engineering to deepen production engineering skills after a data-heavy role at PosiSense.

Worked in a supportive team environment and gained experience building production systems in a larger organisation.

Worked on firmware development in C and hardware-integrated systems.

This was my first experience working closely with hardware, requiring patience and structured debugging under constraints.

Key lesson: complex systems require calm iteration.

At nib Travel, I work across critical purchase and amendment flows, building automation and reliability systems with Playwright, TypeScript, Buildkite, custom reporting, email/PDF validation, pricing checks, and test infrastructure.

This work includes building CI-friendly test infrastructure, validation systems, reusable utilities, reporting workflows, and backend validation tools that improve release confidence and reduce manual checking.

Building an AI-assisted Pāli study tool — exploring structured grammar analysis, prompt strategies, model comparisons, and UI patterns for making complex language analysis easier to inspect and learn from.
